- Packaging: Drinking water served in plastic bottles; instead, water must be boiled and served in glass bottles or steel flasks.
Recommended Healthy Alternatives
The advisory prescribes specific nutritious replacements to foster physical and mental well-being:
- Millet-based Foods: At least one millet-based item for snacks and two for full meals.
- Whole Grains: Brown rice instead of white rice.
- Protein & Fiber: Fresh cut fruits, vegetable salads, sprouts, and roasted (unsalted) nuts and seeds like pumpkin, flax, and sunflower.
- Healthier Beverages: Green tea and low-fat buttermilk.
- Meat Options: If non-vegetarian food is served, it should be restricted to well-cooked lean or white meat.
